The Watcher: The land of the Old King is one of many horrors and mysteries -- chief among these are the mysterious watchers. Able to be spotted in dank alleyways or hidden amongst the trees, these creatures lurk in the dark corners of the realm, silently watching. It is not uncommon to spot their twisted form before the disappearance of someone who speaks out against the king.
Relics of their old forms can be observed in their anatomy -- though once they may have been fearsome and proud carnivorous beasts, they have been grotesquely transfigured into crooked monsters, likely by the King’s dark magic.
Formerly carnivorous, in their old shapes. Now it is unclear if they eat. They always “wear” a human shaped mask. Quadrupedal, but may have additional appendages used for handling objects with fine motor control (opening doors, etc…)
Experiment with human-like arms or hands
Medium/Large -- about the size of a pony, comparable to human size.
Quadrupedal -- usually crawls/drags itself, can “fold” maybe? Just ideas
Fantasy/horror theme -- a little bit fairy-like as well
